Reasons why the Vikings Suck... (non political).

Listening to a little AM sports talk radio this afternoon... all they can talk about is how damn awesome RGIII, Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson are.... blah, blah, blah, blah, bliggetty friggin blah...

It got me to thinking how much MY Minnesota Vikings suck arse.  I started going thru all of the ways and reasons i feel this way.  Pretty soon my head was overflowing with information... there were just too many reasons for my brain to wrap its little comfort blanket around.  So, I figured I would start a thread to get a little more insight and clarity... please feel free to give your input here.  I will start:

1.  Christian Ponder the different ways we suck

it's really the whole offense.  Line does an average job on it's best days.  No premiere receiver you can count on getting open when it's needed.  AP struggles catching the ball.  Pass blocking is sketchy at best.  QB is dismal.  The defense can keep you in just about any game if it's motivated to do so.  The special teams have been very good.

 Definitely the fans.

Is it impious to weigh goose music and art in the same scales? I think not, because the true hunter is merely a noncreative artist. Who painted the first picture on a bone in the caves of France? A hunter. Who alone in our modern life so thrills to the sight of living beauty that he will endure hunger and thirst and cold to feed his eye upon it? The hunter. Who wrote the great hunter's poem about the sheer wonder of the wind, the hail, and the snow, the stars, the lightnings, and the clouds, the lion, the deer, and the wild goat, the raven, the hawk, and the eagle, and above all the eulogy to the horse? Job, one of the great dramatic artists of all time. Poets sing and hunters scale the mountains primarily for one and the same reason--the thrill of beauty. Critics write and hunters outwit their game primarily for one and the same reason--to reduce that beauty to possession. The differences are largely matters of degree, consciousness, and that sly arbiter of the classification of human activities, language. If, then, we can live without goose music, we may as well do away with stars, or sunsets, or Iliads. But the point is we would be fools to do away with any of them.

At this time of year most all teams have line issues as large offensive lineman start to breakdown with ankle and leg injuries,it happens every year to every team. Ponder cannot throw a ball accurately or more importantly consistently. He does not have a strong arm and he suffers with control issues, ala T Jack!

Like Viking QB's for many many years (excluding rent a QB for one year, Favre) The QB is a bottom half of the NFL quality player. Its a constant theme in Minny for many years.Vikes have had 1 quality QB in its entire history and that was in the 1970's, meaning, 40 years!!!!!!!

Give the ball to Peterson 50 times a game is great of paper. yep, on paper! According to Vikes fans Peterson should touch the ball every play, and return kick-offs. Peterson wont make the season with the workload they are putting on him now. The time is ticking for him taking a bad hit yet this year.Than let the finger pointing begin. Fact is, you are a bad football team.

As much as I hate to say it Harvin (or lack of) has really hurt the Vikings…he had a knack for bailing out ponder when AP couldn’t…there lack of a down the field threat receiver hurts their entire passing attack as defenses can play up in the box.

…it was very funnier earlier in the year when the Vikings won a few games (superbowl homeboy) then reality set in…the Vikings will never be a legitimate playoff threat without a solid QB…and the problem with that logic is it only holds true as long as you have one of the best RB in the game…AP ain’t getting any younger. So unless they can reach out and grab a savvy veteran in the offseason the Vikings will forever be a 7-9 may be 8-8 team.

No mention of the 90% third down conversion rate that happened by a weak Packer team Sunday in the second half.  I think it's more than the offense but the play calling seems weak.  I think Ponder's interceptions can partly be blamed on Musgrave's predictability allowing defenses to jump the routes.  Not an excuse for Ponder just a point of view.

The problem is 100% offense, but I still think they back their way into a wild card, may even take the division. Too many jobs are on the line for the offense to have a repeat of the last two weeks.

I honestly believe they need to go back to playing outside....the dome has turned them into a bunch of pansies!! Before they had the metrodome they actually went to superbowls...not that they won any of em but they still went!!

You're kidding right?

he's averaging 6.2 yards a carry, at that rate..best all-time for a season. Give him the ball while he's still healthy. You obviously don't know the difference between a good football team and a bad football. Our defense has been great this year, our running game is the best in the league..how are we a bad team? We just don't have a QB. You must be a packer fan. heh heh.

The Vikings suck????Maybe-maybe not!!there's about15 teams with worst records!!!GO VIKINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why they suck? IMO it all starts with the front office and it goes back to the "Great Train Robbery" in 1992 when they tore up a good team and gave 18 picks to Dallas for Hersal Walker! Since that time we haven't had a decent coaching staff and have had to make due with washed up Quarterbacks that outstayed their welcome elsewhere. IMO it all starts at the top with the poor decisions that have been made over the years.

Top reasons to explain Vikings sucking according to Viking fans.

1.) Blame the coach.
2.) Blame the quarterback.
3.) Blame the refs.
