not a bushnell 1200. I have one. half the time it doesn't read the target. The button on top doesn't click great so you never know if your pushing it hard enough or not.

I'm really happy w/ my bushnell. Couldn't tell you the exact model, but for the amount I paid for it which wasn't a lot, it hasn't let me down yet. Other than hurting me more than its helped me... I don't think I'll range another deer that isn't far. I've pre ranged and its hurt me on the last two deer, cause it screws w/ my brain. I'm very lucky to be have a range finder built in lol. But I don't think I've changed the battery since I bought it, which was three years ago. I keep turning it on every year to find it dead, but nope... It is a little weak in low light though.

cant go wrong with any nikons,
buddy has that super small one that redfield makes. says it sweet.
I am not a fan of the bushnells, seem to be quite a bit slower on giving the distance and optics aren't even close to the nikon or leupold rangefinders.
If your going to use it for strictly bow hunting i think any rangefinder will work fine, i prefer the smaller ones.

Captain. I typically am not a fan of many Bushnell products, but I haven't used them in years. I recieved the Bushnell 600 for chirstmas. Nothing fancy, but I mainly use it for close range archery and I love it. Its a good product.

Are you going to use it STRICTLY for bow hunting?  Reason I ask is if you plan AT ALL to use it for anything other than bow hunting save your 100 to 300 dollars and put it toward a Leica.

I have the Leupold RX-1000 TBR and it works great for bow and rifle hunting. I would save up the money and get a good one.

waste of money imho.  I could see some use for one if all you did was strictly stand hunt.  You could drive some stakes in at various yardages or something.

I say to hell with that pot o' gold.

I have an RX II and don't like it very well was alright for bow the first 2 years.  Didn't want to pick up antelope very well for rifle.  Now this year it's acting up and not wanting to show yardage for very many objects at all.  Got it to range a steel building at 250 yards but won't pick up my targets or trees when i'm in my stand getting yardage references.

Ditto. All you need for bowhunting and moderate rifle is the 550.

Big easy simple display.

But for three BWW beer and wing bills you can have a Leica 1200.  It is a darling of a rangefinder.
