when you release the parking brake push button down and release brake with some authority to the top then try driving. we have some at work and had this same problem, acted like running out of gas, tried above and worked fine after that.

Trade it for a Honda would be an idea.

This moment is a paradox, it's the oldest you've ever been as well as the youngest you'll ever be.

I had about the same problem with a 2010 polaris 500 sportsman.  It turned out that the jets in the carb were wrong.  Must have been set up for the mountains.  Changed the jets and runs perfect.

We won a polaris sportsman 400 a few years ago from a hockey raffle. Our atv did the exact same thing.... the jets that were put in from the factory were for the mountains also... took it in and changed the jets and its been great every since.

I would never, ever, trade a polaris for a honda. I've been fortunate enough to have a few summer jobs spraying weeds in different counties across ND. The hondas did NOT hold upto the abuse that the polaris' took. Our hondas barely made it through one summer and were traded because they kept breaking numerous parts. We are on the same 08' Polaris' this summer and they are all (3) still working fine.

Go into any ATV repair shop and ask them what they work on 10 to 1...and what the repair bays are full of.

Polaris

This is because people are not afraid to use these machines for work.
Or the polaris is a touch more affordable and there are more of them out there.

um. its true. Go to any shop and they are full of Polaris atvs thats just how it is because the Polaris shops are way to booked up with repair work.

Go up to any Canadian hunting camp where they really use those wheelers, its VERY hard to find a Polaris. They just can't take the abuse that the big bush country dishes out and thats a fact.

This is more or less going to turn into a pissing contest. lol. To each their own, good and bad qualities in each make and model. But at the above statement, I have to disagree, I have two very good  canadian friends that I played hockey with that run camps out of Sask and Alberta, both happen to have Polaris and Can Am (Bombardier) atvs,  neither have said they have any problems with either, and these machines are used, and abused daily. I have been to 3 different camps, besides the above mentioned, so that makes 5 different camps and its a mix of all types, not much more than the other. I think each person has their own preference, to me, I could care less, I'll drive anything that gets me to where I need to go.
