I'm looking at getting a Polaris Ranger but having a little trouble deciding which one to get.  I was really thinking about just getting a regular cab 500 or 800.  The wife thinks we need to move up to a crew so the kids/others can all fit it, but I have some concerns. So I'm looking for input on anyone's experience with the crew cab, how is turning?, how much does the longer wheelbase affect clearance?  Or any other knowledge/input you may have on crew cab Rangers.  Thanks for any feedback.

Can't help you with that but, have been pricing different Polaris dealers in ND and the best two i have found is one in Jamestown and one in Finley.  Quite a bit lower in price than the big cities dealers!

Also forgot to add the 500 has plenty of power but is quite a bit louder than the 800 as the twins are so very much quieter.

Herreid Sporting CTR has fair prices as well.  Much under anywhere I checked when I bought my Ranger 800xp in August.  I would check in there as some of my friends have purchased from there as well and the prices were much under the 4 or 5 others I contacted.  Not too far just about 1 1/2 hours from Bis.  Sorry though my Ranger is just a standard cab.  Plenty of room for 3 but unless they are small 4 would be crowded but you can always get a 2nd row for the back as an option as well but that takes away a lot of box.

neighbor has a 500 had an 800 he got a seat out of a bus and put it in the back put seat belts on it and his 2 kids like it better in the back than up front. Kinda like riding in the pickup box 40 yrs ago.   He said the 500 has all the power he needs and no regret trading down       They do ride good but not near as good as a canam   both are a lot better than the 87 Honda I have.

they sure handle all terrian with no issues. He did have some belt issues but the dealer fixed it right away  something to do with alingment missing a shim or washer

Thanks for all the input so far.  Is there anyone out there who owns a crew cab that can offer some pros/cons about it.  My biggest concern is that it will take a lot of room to turn but the Mrs. like the idea due to seating space for the family rides.  I probably need to find a dealer who has the regular and crew cabs and do a test drive.

If you ever want to put tracks on it, get the big twin.  They take some juice to spin in the heavy stuff.
