Pipestem Lake - Friday, January 15, 2010

Hi. I have a house on Pipestem at Parkhurst. Roads are impassable even with chains on my four wheel drive Ranger. So, access is by hiking from oil road near loading dock through the park about 1/4 mile or so. Fish do show up on the sonar. Most are suspended and likely crappie but reluctant to bite. The last decent fish I caught was a 15" Walleye on February 13th. I did excellent in January with 11" Perch and a dozen or more 9-10" Crappie, and two 15"+ Walleye. I am confident I could have caught more fish could be catching fish now if I could get out there and try different depths, etc. 

In that regard, I am working on getting at least one road kept clear of snow yet this year, if at all possible, and next year for the entire ice fishing season. See my separate posting to help me by providing your support.
