Pickup guns

The other forum about caliber preference got me thinking. What everybody's bang around, every day, go to pick up gun? Rifles, shotgun or pistol, doesn't matter.

I picked up a Draco pistol last winter that's loads of fun but loud as hell. It's a chopped down AK-47 into a pistol (semi-auto). I never even bothered to clean the cosmoline off it. I cleaned the barrel and ran a quick mag through it and it all dripped off. Came with two thirty round mags and ammo is cheap (if your not picky). Works wonders on beavers and muskrats.

12 gauge, and a ruger 22 in the pickup at all times.

If we're not supposed to eat animals, how come they're made out of meat?

About the same except a .45 acp instead of the .380

It is folly to assume my awesome lies dormant.

In town its either my 9mm, 40 or a 45.

Out of town it's one of the 3 above and usually my AR.

My AR. I need to get a shell catcher so I don't 'bring the rain' to my dash and windshield.

It's only illegal depending on where and what you're shooting at.

I thought they passed a law that employers can't restrict carrying a gun in your personal vehicle last session?

My thoughts on that are if a guy leaves his AR in his truck, I'd be damned scared of what he keeps on him or next to the bed.

Savage MKII .22LR bolt action and a 10rd mag.
If everyone focused on the important things in life the world would have a shortage of fishing poles.

My thoughts exactly. Only scenario I can think of off the top of my head is working on an airbase and living off of it, thus having to frequently enter it. What do you do for a living Colt?

SMASH!!!

I still have an old Springfield 87A .22 that was my dad's. Accurate old gun. It must have over a million miles riding on the seat of the pickup. He always had it with him until I was old enough to drive. It rode with me up to 10-12 years ago. Springs got weak in it finally. I had replaced them before but Numrich doesn't carry them anymore. I would buy a used one in a heartbeat if only for parts. Four more years and my boy will need his own pickup gun.

If you drive a company owned vehicle they might also disallow you from carrying a firearm in same.
