Photo Description:
Goosefishmen and I went to "fish" the tailrace when they completely shut down the dam this spring. Our "great" idea turned into one cold SOB. The wind was about 30mph and the thermometer peaked at 10 degrees which equals one sub-zero wind chills and two frozen mentally challenged people in a 10ft duck boat. It was neat to see the river that low though.Tags: tailrace, nuckleheads, one, wind, 30mph, goosefishmen, sob, shut, dam, fish

Re:Just the one trout?
And yes, you two are nuckleheads but not for fishing the tailrace.

Re:Yes, unfortunately only one lonely trout. It was pretty cool when we got up to the dam away from the wind and there was absolutely no current whatsoever. Alot different from when they are releasing. I wanna say the river was about 12-15ft from normal levels. One guy on an atv we talked to said he was on a sand bar down river fishing a hole the walleyes were locked in and pulled 4lbers one after another.
