My wife,Judy, shot this bull elk Saturday 9-10-11 in the badlands. The ironic thing about the whole ordeal is that she shot this exactly 10 years to the date that I took my only elk, on 9-10-2001in Montana with a bow. It was so great to hunt with her. It took seven backpack loads and she packed out three. She packed out both front shoulders plus another pack. Judy's story will follow in a week or so.
