I agree

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and

degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is

worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing

to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a

miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so

by the exertions of better men than himself.

Should have left that last comment to yourself.
The kill is the satisfying, indeed essential, conclusion to a successful hunt. But, I take no pleasure in the act itself. One does not hunt in order to kill, but kills in order to have hunted. Then why do I hunt? I hunt for the same reason my well-fed cat hunts...because I must, because it is in the blood, because I am the decendent of a thousand generations of hunters. I hunt because I am a hunter.- Finn Aagard

Why is it that people love to criticize other individuals action on internet forums?  I'd be willing to bet that about 80% of flatlands rifle hunters have at one time or another kept on shooting until the deer went over the hill.  One thing I've noticed about "people in general" is the fact that most of the time the most politically correct people are also the biggest hypocrites.  One thing I picked up on as a kid was the usher in church who carried the bible in his hands during the sermon was generally the first one you see cussing up a storm and chasing women at the bar.  Nice buck by the way!!!

idk why its so bad, if your comfortable with ur gun why cant you shoot longrange look at the things they have on tv now days, there shootin elk and muledeer at 800 to a 1000+ yrds and theres no problem, no effense i love shootin deer close enough so that you can see the individual hairs on their backs, but face it, that doesnt happen everytime in mother nature.
