II thought there was a topic awhile back about pellet guns but i cant find it. Mine is a piece of crap. 7 shots at rabbits this weekend and nothing. Not looking to spend alot just want to see a dead bunny. Im in town so i cant use anything bigger, What do you use for garden vermin? My pellet rifle is junk and cant seem to hit anything with the pellet pistol. I spent the last 15 minutes trying to mount a laser sight to it .lol .I think that would have been sweet at night. Any recomendations for a new rifle?

I too have a Gamos varmint hunter, and have whacked over a hundred cottontails out of my garden with it. It spews pellets at 1,200 fps and is extremely accurate. Costs a little more than your average air rifle, but is well worth it.

I have had this one for about 16 years and still whack rabbits and other things with it.  Very accurate and the .22 pellet packs a mega sized punch compared to the .177.

For one that is inexpensive and just a plain hoot to shoot look at one of these.  Downside is having to buy CO2 and it is not as deadly accurate as one above.  The fun is you can shoot 12 pellets as fast as you can pull the trigger.

Have fun whacking those pesky critters.

Gamo Varmint Hunter....after years of using cheap pump pellet guns I finally shelled out a little more money and its been well worth it.  Not one squirrel in a 1/4 mile radius after a week with this thing

I have a Gamo Whisper in .22 cal and love it! I live in a city area and can wack stuff all day with anyone hearing a thing! After numerous cheaper style pellet rifles i broke down and got one and i am glad I did.

I have had a Sheridan Silver Streak for close to 18 years now... pump .20 cal and is a cottontails worst nightmare.  .20 cal pellets are more of a rarity but can be found online or I believe Scheels has had them, don't remember as it's been close to 10 years since I've had to buy any. It is a fun little gun to shoot and packs a good punch.

Thumbs up for Gamo.  I Whisper Deluxe model.  Picked it up on sale at Cabelas for $199 right before Christmas a couple years ago.  Squirrels used to be thick in our yard and don't see many any more.  It's even fun just to plink away at empty pop cans or shooting at targets with my kids.

Go with the Benjamin.  More accurate and doesn't weigh as much as a .300 mag.  IME, those springers are only "snuff lid" accurate at 25yds even with super premium pellets.

I ordered a Stoeger with a 3-9 scope from Cabelas.  I think I paid 189.00 for it.  Kills everything I shoot at and very accurate.  Highly recommend.

You can always go the "full rock and roll" option:

I used to have a .20 cal Sheridan when I was a kid. It was deadly on pigeons sitting on top of grain elevators. I think they're collectable now.

I believe the Silver Streak is indeed collectable.

Beware shooting pellet guns in city limits, especially in Fargo.  PD may order you to "put down your firearm sir."

I say to hell with that pot o' gold.

Well that didn't make my day any to find out my Silver Streak is a collectable... let my brother use it in college when he lived on a farm one summer and it came back pretty banged up...

Oh well life goes on, I guess my son will continue to use it when he gets old enough to shoot it...
