She sure has been worth the monies Alaskians have spent on her, not. "WOW " what a waste of a state's resources. I hope I never hear her name again.

If I were Alaskan, I don't think I would give a crap what someone from the continental 48 thinks about if I got my money's worth.

I have never been a fan of Sarah Palin, didnt drink the coolaid, as some will say. But I think raising a child with Downs Syndrom takes a lot of effort and if this is the reason for the resignation, I respect her for that and wish her well.

I am sure she will go down in history as one of the great Governors of all time. If the Down Syndrom was a issue for her i am sure you would not have seen her holding the down baby on the GOP stage with the pregnant daughter last summer.

Kaptain, that was a nice thing to say from someone who did not "like" her!  More than I can say from bdog, he is pure class (insert sarcasam here)!
I'll take my guns, money, and religion.... You can keep the change!

She's been treated the way someone not qualified for a job but thinks they're the cat's meow deserves to be treated.  She's a flake.

To me she is a quitter.  Walking away in the middle of her term shows me something about her charactor.   To me part of being a mature, decent adult is living up to your commitments and finishing what you start.

Something is up.  I saw the tape of the news conference.   I can't help but think that there is more to the story.  She seemed nervous and there was not a lot of emotion to her.    I thought I heard somewhere that her husband was commercial fishing and had to come back for this news conference.   That shows to me that this may have been an unplanned event.

If she was being straight with us at this news conference, why did this happen on a Friday before a holiday weekend?

The implosion of the Republican party continues.

I bet she's going to become a stay at home mom/spy.  When she's not carting the kids off to hockey practice she'll be keeping a close eye on Russia out her living room window......

Good deal.  Now maybe she'll have time to have a basket of wings and a pitcher with me.

Getting back to the thread IMO Palin shorted the voters in Alaska. If you are going to be a quiter it had better be for a good reason. IMO I felt she owned the voters in Alaska an explaination for quitting, not more drama.

Have a great holiday everybody ! ! !

She has a book coming out shortly which she will be touring with, plus many speaking engagements.  She and her family has been run through the mill by the press.  I hope she makes millions and millions of dollars she deserves it for what she has been through.

I was not a big of her's to begin with. I always felt that she is a light weight. I think she really screwed the people of Alaska by doing this. If she leaving because of a family issue or medical issue that is one thing and it is her right to keep it private but, if it turns out that she is leaving the governors office to go do a show or some thing else to cash in she should be ashamed of herself.

I don't know what her future political hopes are. I didn't think they were that great to begin with.  If she tries to run for a higher office I would hope the republican committee wouldn't give her any support. How can they support some body who couldn't hack it when times got hard.

Palin must not have heard the old saying,  "When the going gets tuff the tuff get going"

The tuff get going doesn't mean quit and leave.   I am starting to think like bdog, can't trust any of them.

Do you think she has a hunting trip planned for this fall??
