Re: If I had sheds this big, Im not sure I would post them on this site.... lol..... I would make sure this guy was on the ground with an arrow or bullet through him first! :) I know some guys on here will be CRAWLING all over you with questions on where they were found, what part of the state, then... its gonna come down to what unit, what your name is and so on. Keep tight lipped about this one as much as you can, ONCE in a lifetime deer right there! Good luck in your pursuit and hope to see some pictures of him this fall on the ground!!!!

Re:Swanson, I was waiting for it! hahaha
Bullhead, I have no idea, didn't ask he just said "offer he couldn't refuse" Taylor, Thats why there is a lot of controversy over this deer, because of how people change when these monster bucks come around, yeah Im not gonna tell folks where he beds every night but I will tell ya that this buck resides in Grand Forks county. Its hard for me not to share information with people when I've got nothing from this site but information I requested and a few smartass comments, which is good for your skin ;) Once-in-a-lifetime deer, hell yes, still a deer, for sure. Thats just my 2 cent Without Hunters, Wildlife Becomes Your Next Hood Ornament! |

Re:- Hed-
I completely hear you about how people change when monster bucks are involved. Take the Beulah/Golden Valley area. I know alot of people out in that area, and there has been some giant mule deer and whitetails taken over the past few years. During the non hunting times of the year, everyone is so nice and neighborly. Now, during deer season, watch out, neighbors become enemies when a 180+ inch muley or whitetail are involved, and all the bad mouthing comes out for about a month. After season is over, everything is all fine and dandy. I guess I consider myself lucky for where I hunt, because we do not post any of our land, and my dad grew up with all the neighbors that we hunt with today, and if you ask permission, they will let ya hunt.. In the end, you are very correct, it is, just a deer. |

Re:That is spot on Taylorman, and thanks for letting respectful hunters stomp on ground that isn't theirs. Its hard to find anymore. My dad always tell me the only signs he used to see was "hunters: respect this property" I dont know what I would do if I saw a sign like that these days...

Re:Yea its just a deer, that I would spend every minute or second of my day thinking about. A deer like that is pretty cool to just have seen the sheds. Thank you for posting the pics so we could see them too. I hope you can det this deer come September with bow or with the rifle in November. Good luck and do you have any side view pics of those sheds.

Re:I know where they were found. I have seen the pict. all around the only reason they found them so close is b/c of the big corn pile, and all the snow the deer were wintering there. |

Re:And now every jackass in the eastern part of the state will be searching for this deer and trying to get permission to hunt the land its on. The checkbooks will be busy this fall, just like when the sheds were sold.
