Nodak on The Voice

 just a few minutes ago on the voice there was a woman from Hebron North Dakota.  thought it was pretty cool.   north dakota doesnt get much time on any station. and she had a damn good voice to boot.

Just opened up my email and saw a link from 5575 where she sinks backup vocals for Blake's new song.  So judging by the outcome she might not win but she still won in a sense because you just don't land on stage as Blake's vocal backup.

I liked her persona and how she interacted with everyone (including her husband...think they were married).  Yes, could have just left it at one jab at "you betcha" but whatever, she got the crowd to laugh.

She has some nice power and cutoff on her voice.  I wish her the best of luck and glad to see a nice positive plug for North Dakota.

she was really good. Also the the girl that was in the duo "the line" her name is Hailey Steele she is from the small SD town of Arlington. She dated my cousin all through high school until just a couple years ago. she is also Very good! good luck to both!

hey do you guys remember a few months ago somebody posted a video of that military group with that gal that could sink to beat heck?  I think the poster said it was a group from the Minot Air Force Base but that may not have been the case.  Well she was on the voice last night also.  Last name was Johnson.

 Gwen is a great singer and honestly performer as well.  Her cousin drug a bunch of us to her concert in Riverdale a year ago or so.  I had never heard her at that time.  I was just flat out impressed with her though.  I wish her the best of luck!  She deserves it.  You can't find a nicer family.

JAMESTOWN (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown native Alexis Barnick is one of a few hundred singers featured on American Idol’s web site ahead of the Hollywood Week portion of the national singing competition.


Barnick impressed the judges enough in nationwide auditions to earn a golden ticket to Hollywood, along with a few hundred other singers. The Hollywood Week portion of the show starts airing during this week’s episode on Wednesday night on FOX.


AmericanIdol.com has short profiles and videos from all the singers who advanced to Hollywood.


Barnick explains in a brief video on the web site that her favorite former American Idol singer is Carrie Underwood. She also talks about her North Dakota background and how she won an American Idol singing contest while on vacation in Florida.

I watched the Voice just because of the Gal From ND I saw something in the paper the other day.  Have enjoyed watching it the last couple nights.  I thought she was alright but she has to bring it to compete some great singers in the bunch.  The AF gal is from Misouri or something.  I was pissed when she didnt sing her Adele song like posted on youtube. I did like the duet The Line I think the wife is hooked on the show so I will be stuck watching this one now for the season
