NFL rule changes

Just read these, apparently these are now considered "defenseless positions" and the player cannot be hit.

• A player in the act or just after throwing a pass.

• A receiver attempting to catch a pass or one who has not completed a catch and hasn’t had time to protect himself or hasn’t clearly become a runner. If the receiver/runner is capable of avoiding or warding off the impending contact of an opponent, he is no longer a defenseless player.

• A runner whose forward progress has been stopped and is already in the grasp of a tackler.

• A kickoff or punt returner attempting to field a kick in the air.

• A player on the ground at the end of a play.

• A kicker/punter during the kick or return.

• A quarterback any time after a change of possession (i.e. turnover).

• A player who receives a “blindside” block when the blocker is moving toward his own end-line and approaches the opponent from behind or the side.

I'm all for player safety and maybe I'm missing something but a hit on a QB in the act of throwing the ball is illegal? Huh? What is the defense supposed to do then? Hitting/blocking a kicker/punter during a return or hitting/blocking a QB during a int or fumble recovery is illegal? Are they then not allowed to attempt ot make a tackle? Maybe i'm missing some fine print, I hope so because a few of these are a bit excessive IMHO.

I dont go around guessing cup sizes either I just know a nice rack when I see one.

I've never been much of a football fan to begin with.  When this whole strike deal came up, I didn't care much, probably made me want to watch even less.  Then Adrian (The Slave) Peterson speaks up and essentially refers to himself as a slave, a 30Million dollar/yr slave.  At that point I pretty much decided I don't need to watch another NFL game.  Change the rules all you want NFL.
