New ND State Record paddlefish??

According to Scenic Sports's website he just talked to the chief warden of the NDG&F  and he has confirmed that a new state record paddlefish was caught this morning with a weight of 132lbs. Wow what a rush that would have been. Would love to see some pics of that. If anybody has them please post em.

My neighbor (local game warden) just came home from Williston and confirmed that a new state record was caught. No other details other than this season won't last long

i thought he said he was 16 , said it didnt put up much fight . just kinda drug her in . dodnt think he realy know what he had cought . he was real calm about the whloe thing . kinda funny.

That's the one I lost in 2004! Well, maybe not... Congrats to whoever caught it. That is one solid fish.

Not real fat? That is a huge fat pig. I bet there is close to 50 pounds of eggs in that belly. I have never seen a fish that thick in the middle.

Are you kidding me? the fish is almost as wide as the guy. Thats awesome that a kid caught it.... I'm gonna feel terrible when I break that kid's record, next year

Hello Scenic Sports
    This is Alex Mergen, I am from Black Hawk SD, I am 16 years old i cought this fish on 5/2/10 at 8:15 in the morning. At the
confluence, next to the cleaning station. it was a real easy to fight i realed it most of the way in the fight only lasted like 5-10
mins before my dad-(in camoflauge to the right of the fish) and brother gaffed him. we were hoping it would weigh at least 90 pounds but never guessed 130 pounds (the official weight). it took 3 people to haul him up the hill, and the first digital scale just said "error" when we tried to way him. so the guy got the not digital scale and it said 132 pounds. we weighed the hook though that weighed 2 pounds. (130 pounds-official). Its the first paddlefish ive ever cought in 3 years of trying. (very excited) i dont know how i was so calm with such a huge fish, its still kind of setting in. Sorry but my uncle has the pictures for now and he will send them to us some time soon so i could send you some more.

Weight:130 lb-(the size of my brother)
Girth:46 in
length:74 in (6 feet 2in!!)

by the way he had 22.5 pounds of eggs roughly $900+ in caviar and he is suggested that he is 35-40 years old from what i heard but thats an estimate.

I dont go around guessing cup sizes either I just know a nice rack when I see one.

That would be one expensive replica.  Or maybe a taxidermist would work with the kid since it is a state record.  Then again, you'd have to re-model or build a new house.  Wow that is a big fish.  Congratulations.  Heck, might as well hang the paddle rod up!
