That is a beautiful dog! I always love "muts" so to say. Thats what my good ol' boy Ruger is.  What kind of a hound is she? Congrats!

Well, I think shes half lab half springer. But was told possibly part Collie. Not 100% sure I guess, but yeah, I've always loved the mutts too. Had an Alaskan Malamute/Yellow Lab once.

That is a nice looking "mutt".  I bet with a little work that girl could be kicking up roosters all day for ya.....like shorthairs said: Buster might have some competition.  My only advice is to buy a hair trimmer, a furminator, and a good brush.  Hello to burs!  I almost shaved my dog down to join the Marines after about a dozen bur removing sessions.

I think she's going to be a house/yard dog. But she's got a really good disposition judging from watching her in the yard, so I'm sure if I had the time/energy she could be a good helper in the field.

At this point, Buster and I have been waiting for a long time to get out hunting. I'll be taking him Sunday with a friend to Grouse hunt, and Suzy will stay home with the wife. I think that's the way it's going to be. Sara will get to snuggle with her when I'm hunting/fishing, and the baby is asleep.
