new ND state record whitetail

anyone else receive the text with the "new ND state record". shot up by the minot area i guess. not much of a story with it just says it goes around 200"   TYPICAL    which in the pic looks very likely. anyways just curious if anyone has heard anything....

I do not care what picture goes up but when someone specifically does not want their photo up that is when I step in.

I have seen it and it is big.  Very big.

Although, the left g2 is a little short so I probably would have let it grow up one more year.

Got the same text and said gross of 197, and net of 186 and some change. Who knows though! Every year there seems to be a "new state record."

I would have guessed it close to 190 net.  He lacks mainbeam to me but maybe the photo is decieving.  That left g2 kills it too for the beloved stupid net score.

I would guess from that photo that he will net in the low 180's... would that make it the new bow ND state record? Anyone know the current record?

Looks to me like the current state record typical whitetail for P&Y is 173 3/8th if I'm looking at this right...

Ive seen that page also. But I think I remember someone having a buck on here last fall or maybe the fall before that had a whitetail in velvet, that went over 180 net also? Im not sure ill have to look through the photos, pretty sure the kid brought the deer to the contest in beulah this winter, and from what I remember, it went 182 or 183 net? I dont know, I might be wrong, I cant even remember what i had for breakfast today.

Might have trouble getting there as a typical as he looks to have some pretty big differences side to side. Regardless, very impressive. What's the story on the hunt?

You talking the deer in the photos section? That's a typical, not even debatable.

I have not saw the picture but it would be dog on hard not to release on a monster like that if I had a good shot.   You have more will power than me.

Just go through the photo gallery and when you see the pic of the young man holding the horns of a deer that makes your jaw drop....thats the one!

Its hard to score a picture.  It could gross from a 180 to a 187 in my best estimate.  Its tough to tell.  At any rate....heck of a deer!

I see in my initial score guess I had 190 NET.  I meant gross score.

Think they felt it would deduct down to low 180s if I recall correclty.

I knew the correct term.  Side ways sounded funnier.

Nice deer.  I big pat on the back to Dad who got his kid hunting at an early age.

Congrats to both Dad and son.

Dan

Take a kid hunting instead of hunting for your kid.

First I am a Dad, then a husband, then a hunter.  Sometimes I get the husband and hunter mixed up, but luckily my wife remembers what order they should be in. :-)
