Nelson Lake - Saturday, March 28, 2009

drove out to nelson yesterday to see what it looked like it was nice so made a few casts by the discharge the bass were slammin left and right kinda surprizing since the water is still muddy. so took that as a clue hooked the boat up went out today and all im gonna say is WOW the piggies were slammin today. my wristis sore from doing batlle all day.  water temp is down to 54 degrees out from the discharge thats 20 degrees less than last week and the water is cloudy, but the water is high as i have seen it in many years and the end result is the piggies have moved into there prespawn areas and are biting very good. i fished for two hours with little success than i found the majic spot and it was just loaded with bass from 3-8 pounds.  only saw one other boat out there and they saw me catch a big one so they drop anchor 50 feet from me?? wth? oh well they didnt know how to catch them anyways! so victory was mine as i pulled one after another right in from of them. so if your brave enough to suffer this weather and ya want a big one it is time! good luck  and release all them big fat piggies unless your going to mount one.
