Nebraska Hunting

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has hunted upland game or deer in Nebraska? We're headed down to the Lexington, NE over Christmas for approximately 7 days, so I'm wondering if it'll be worth me trying to do some hunting while I'm down there. Plus it might be a good reason to get out of the house for a bit. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

Nick, 
I live 45 miles West of Lex and you are in a good spot for just about anything, good waterfowl and upland hunting. Lots of turkeys and hoards of deer. Quail and rooster numbers are up this year and anything to the south of Lex is a good bet. try some of the MAPS land  thats' Nebraskan for PLOTS here.

That sounds good, glad to hear the numbers are good. I appreciate the info. If you're bored, I'll be around the area from Dec. 24th until the 29th, when we head to Raymond, NE, so we could meet up for a hunt.

Do you know if they have books for the MAPS land like we do for PLOTS?

Give me an address in a pm and I will make a couple of calls and have them sent to you.     I do know where the court house in Lex is.  And I know where TET'S bar and gill is without maps.
