NDTRAX has been updated with the latest PLOTS data just released in the North Dakota PLOTS guide. Traditionally, updates to NDTRAX are $20 but until NDTRAX 2010 comes out, all updates will be for FREE. Depending on when you purchased the product originally many new updates and changes have taken place including:
  • 6/1/2009: NDTRAX -  Additional features including trails and state managed lands
  • 7/1/2009: PLOTS and Grassland summer changes
  • 7/15/2009: Updated color changes to make maps easier to read
  • 8/1/2009: PLSS (township, range and section numbers added) and Garmin layer fix
  • 9/3/2009: Fall PLOTS updated for 2009-2010 hunting season
Going forward, there will be typically be 1 update a year occurring in late Summer.

Send your NDTRAX cards to Kirsch's Outdoor Products and they will update them and send them back for FREE until NDTRAX 2010 is released. Use the most current map to help guide your Fall/Winter Hunting and Fishing experience.

If you haven't purchased yet, now is the perfect time so NDTRAX can help guide your Fall/Winter hunting and fishing expeditions.

For updates, put your NDTRAX 2009 card in a bubble mailer and send them to:

There are no maps, not even Lowrance's own maps (mapselect) currently working in the Endura series. Watch www.koutdoorproducts.com and I will have post a notice when there is an option available.

I'm still looking for something NDTRAX compatible  , I need one unit that I can use in my boat and my truck without a small screen so I don't need my reading glasses to see it.  I don't need top of the line, Just something economical that will get the job done. Will a fish finder work in my truck on GPS mode?

Korey, I'll send my chip in whenever I remember to get a mailing thingee for it.
But you should charge for updates, dangit!  You provide an excellent service, and those chips are great.  I'd hate to see a great service go out of business because of giving too much stuff away in the name of "advertising" or "being a good guy"  and then have the rest of us lose out on a great thing.
Not that its any of my business!   Still,  buying a chip from you sure BEATS buying it from some Who Flung Dung in China or Taiwan! LOL  Buy American, better still, buy North Dakotan! (even if you live in Fargo!)
Keep up the good (great) work!  Even a computer/GPS idiot like me can install those chips!   I recommend them highly!

Geothermal - Can a fishfinder work in your truck yes, if you want to mount it there and connect it via battery but all those things are possible. There are some very large screen Garmin Nuvi's, however, they would not work in the boat as they are not waterproof.

Besides a fishing sonar/GPS, you could look into the Garmin Nuvi 500. This is the largest waterproof automotive GPS I am aware of. It can be used for hunting and fishing, and moderately priced. There screen is bigger than a handheld GPS but still not nearly as big as a marine boat sonar/gps, but much easier to use and pop in and out and even stick in your pocket. It sounds like the best option for you. If you can fnd a Lowrance XOG, this might work too but the screen size although similar isn't as easy to read in my opinion.

wfgoinsptr - Feel free to put the CD-Rom in an envelop and send it back to me just like the chip. I will burn a new CD-ROm and send it back to you for the MapSource version.

bobkat - Appreciate the kind words. My number one goal is to provide great customer service and if I succeed, the rest should take care of itself. Updates will be charged for NDTRAX 2010 and beyond so there will be a $20 fee in the future. The best thing you can do to make sure Kirsch's Outdoor Products stays in business is tell all your hunting, fishing, hiking, and biking friends about this product.
