ND & SD Taxidermy Shows in the Books

The 2007 North Dakota and South Dakota shows are officially in the book.

On March 10-11th, over 110 taxidermists put their showcases compromised of hours upon hours of hard detailed work against a mix of the areas finest taxidermists.  The following weekend just over a hundred taxidermists again competed against their counterparts in South Dakota.  The workmanship from both shows was astounding proving the quality of taxidermy is becoming mystical.  A pat on the back to all who took the time to present their work of art.

On a similar note, I'd like to congratulate Jamie Risovi of Risovi Taxidermy located in New Rockford, ND for taking 1st in the Master's Division, Best of Category - Master's Division, and Taxidermist's Choice in the whitetail category.  In the Collective Artist's Division, Jamie and fellow taxidermist Jim Benson, earned 3rd in the Judge's Choice with their Nyala full body mount.

While I'm sending out a congratulations toward the North Dakota show I can't go without saying bravo to Jamie for his accomplishments at the South Dakota show.  Jamie earned another first place in the Master's Division, Best of Category - Master's Division, Taxidermist's Choice, and Best of Show.  Also, Jamie's son Lucas and daughter Haley, took home blue ribbons for their antler mounts in the Novice Division.  All the long hours created a fine specimen and your work didn't go unnoticed, a congrats on a great showing in the ND and SD Taxidermist shows!

All of us at FBO are wishing you good luck at the World Taxidermy Championships in Reno!
