I am willing to be they are still a few weeks out. I haven't heard any reports from Kenmare about them, and I usually get that the sign of the first bird.

Seen a flock fly over the Turtle Mts on monday, also been watching a flock of about 150 honkers with about 20 snows and a bunch of mallards just south of here. I might have to go put the hurt on them in the morning.

Can a nine year old shoot ducks and geese in this season also.  No hunter safety, etc at this age.

I think the birds just have to count towards the guardians limit.

yes they can. they do need a general game stamp though and a hip number. they can shoot  their own limit of waterfowl with a guardian at least 18 yrs old. not sure if the guardian has to have a federal game stamp though. i am thinking they do.
