ND Land Ownership Mapping Program

I am trying to do some research on landowners in ND but cannot find a website out there that is comparable to the one we have here in Montana. Here we have the Montana Cadastral Mapping Program that displays the sections of land and when the tract is selected the program will show the landowner information. I there a comparable website out there, or does ND just not have anything like this?

No such program in ND. Some counties have built parcels, while many others have not.
Most tax directors could give you some info but I don't think they hand it out to the public unless its based in a web map service. Best results would be a county plat book.

Not to mention, very few counties even have it in electronic format.

Landownership is not on the NDTrax. It is a feature that will be immediately available once the data comes available but until now, unless you have customized data built (most do not) having that information on the NDTrax is simply not available. In Montana, yes, Korey has it available on the MTTrax. Well, I believe he does. I shouldn't over speak but like I said, it is available for the public so I'm sure Korey has it on there.

NDTrax DOES have PLSS (section, twp and range) type data but that does not include landowner parcels.

Tim is correct that for MTTRAX, the private land ownership for the entire state is included in the program. He is also correct that for NDTRAX, the township, range and section number is included for the entire state. However, what I need to add is there currently is private land ownership available for 5 counties on NDTRAX 2011 and hopefully there will be even a few more added by Fall. The counties in ND that include private land ownership are Cass, Morton, Pembina, Montrail, and Williams counties.

The TRAX series is available for Garmin or Lowrance GPS systems and if you wish to use a computer program instead of or in addition to a GPS, TRAX PC works with Google Earth to provide a great comprehensive mapping option.
