Musky fishing D.L?

I am going musky fishing tomorrow on D.L. with a friend that has talked me into giving it a try.  I have never done this before and have never fished MN.  I don't want to go out and get skunked but heard that the odds are good that I will.  Any tips or advise to help me put a fish in the boat before him?
Hunt today like there may be no tomorrow!

Have never "targeted" them but did accidentally catch one last year, about 18 inches. First one in over ten years of fishing the lake. May the force be with you!!!!

I was in DL area last weekend fishing bass.  On Sunday I saw lots of muskies in shallow water, 3 ft or less.

North Shore of Big Detroit west of the Holiday Inn.  I caught 2 there over 40 inches.  That was about 11 years ago though.  Very good weedbeds there.

Caught 2 my first time out, then followed that up by  10 trips with nothing but follows.  I think musky are like drug dealers, they give you a taste to get ya hooked!  Good luck!

All I need is a taste!  This is a one time deal for me.  I am more about the eyes and perch but my buddy talked me into this.  And if I can just catch one to rub it in thats all I need!
