Just saw some photos on facebook of a recently snared cat. Looks to be a fairly decent sized one also, north of stanton. Anyone have any other info about this?

Saw a pic of it this morning from someone from Stanton.  Snared yesterday 5 miles north of Stanton.  Don't know who the hunter is.  It looks to be a pretty nice size though.

Awesome.....right near my uncles where I bowhunt.  That is why I have been holding my buck knife in one hand and my bow in the other as I walk in and out each morning and night.  Pretty close to home there.

Hey, not sure if you got my pm or not. The pic I found was on a friends facebook page. She had a picture of her daughters sitting on it believe it or not. And yes it was dead. 5 miles N or stanton is what the picture said.

It was collared in SD.  Not sure if they get to keep it or not.

It was a 100 lb male.  The trapper does not get to keep it.

Why? Thats not in zone 1 is it?  So the season is still open so why wouldn't he get to keep it?

Think he is referring to keeping the collar, not the cat.

Here is a picture of the cat snared by Watford. My friend said the Game Warden came and picked it up right away.

That does not seem safe, unless the guy has a shotgun pointed at the cat's head. Cool pic though.
