Good day on the lake. Perfect weather -- a few too many other boats but not bad. 2 medium walleys & 1 bigger than average northern. Just enough for supper. Trolling on west end with yellow & silver spinner tipped with a leech - about 5 - 7 feet. Fun!

Shovel for an hour trying to get off the dam today, got my house to shore but not up the access hill, still a couple big houses out , if the hill doesnt get cleaned soon its not gonna be looking good for those houses, as far as the ice conditions they were still good for fishing once on the ice. Gonna prolly try to fish it later this week, when i go to check on the hill, still gotta get the house home.

Took my dad with me today , i picked up 2 pike in the first half hour . I lost 3 more by noon , dad had 3 flags up and hooked all 3 , it took me another hour and a half to hook my last pike. It was the most flags ive had up all week, hopefully it keeps getting better.

I went yesterday ice is 6-8 inches, half good blue, half white ice. anyway I missed two flags. I didnt want to catch anything any way
 . It was a decent day, snow is 3-4 inches thick on the late. There was a fella about 100 yards west of me , I watched him run after 3 flags. Thats all for now. |

Hit the dam up on monday ice was 3 to 6 inches then, just had to get out and try it. No flags flew tried by pumphose for 2 hours. Hit morrison tuesday no flags again, went to mikes lake today landed 8 in 3 hours missed plenty.
