I doubt to many here can out shoot current rev bolt actions from any of the major makers. So the answer is likely the one you shoot the best.

But I'd put a 40x against any stock bolt.😊

What do you consider "stock"?  You're probably going to realistically put a price tag out to get the answer you're looking for.  If Accuracy International or McMillan use their proprietary actions, stocks, and barrels but cost $4500--$6500, are they still "stock"?  How about if GAP uses their proprietary action but sources the bbl and stock from another manufacturer?

Savage of your choice and the rest on optics is what I'd do. 1500-1800 on optics will get you places.

Thanks. Hmm, I thought they were a bit cheaper then that a few years ago. Uncle bought one and if I remember correctly it was 400z great gun though.

Not sure what caliber you are looking for. I just sold a Savage in 223 with the target accu-trigger. It is different than the regular accu-trigger as it can be set down to a six ounce pull. Should be pretty nice.

40x is a short action custom shop Remington.  Pretty sure they're all clip-slotted, and many of them have a solid bottom, single-shot only.

Any dealer should be able to order you a 40x but they're generally pretty slim pickings regarding availability.  I doubt there's more than 100 of them available in the wholesale channel at any given time.
