You can not get on the ice with a truck due to snow. In addition, it has a lot of slush on the ice and only about not a lot of good ice. Even if you can bust a trail, I would not suggest driving a pick out.
Fished Saturday in 32ft of water, marked a few, but couldn't get anything to go. |

We will have to see...going out Thursday Dec 24th...me and Tina's Christmas Eve...let u guys know how we do. Not quite positive we will try for cats though as I don't have an auger that makes holes that big :)

Ice is good, almost driveable, not yet that brave. Some driving with trucks, i'll opt to pass for a few more weeks for the east side of the lake, Ask Toby26, Tinas 42pound 1ounce will be broke through the ice oh Moon this year. Heh Heh Heh..

I was the idiot bucket fishing Saturday on Moon. Had some real light bites, but no takers. Hooked into a fish and lost it at the hole...Will try again in a few weeks.

went out yesterday fished 18 ft slow until right before sundown then got 3 very small eyes 4 inches.. no lake trout no perch .. 5 inches of ice,, gonna try pipestem maybe monday or next weekend..

Went out fishing over Labor Day weekend. Caught a couple 18.5" smallies. Also caught a couple walleyes. Very slow overall. Very promising to see the walleyes very healthy and in very good shape. We fished C&R only. Very promising to see what the potential of this lake can be in the next 2-5 years. We will see what kind of impact ice fishing will bring though since it is so small. Hopefully not much damage.

New ND record catfish caught on Moon Saturday. 42 pounds! I didn't even know that this lake had channel cats in it.

went to moonie on sat ,heavy snow drifts, no access, a couple of guys i talked to coming off on 4 wheelers said fishing slow to 0, they tried alot of the lake, went to eckelson instead, and hit some nice grass gators, fishing there might end soon with the high afternoon temps

I was out there about a month ago and cought alot of nice perch. 22 feet seemed to be the ticket I tried other dephs and did'nt catch much.
