Mobridge Ice Tourney Reels in Big Numbers

The Mobridge Chamber of Commerce Tourism committee wants to let all anglers know there is almost 200 teams registered for the Eight Annual Ice Fishing Tournament to be held Saturday, January 10th, 2009. This is a two-person team tournament that is held on LakeOahe out of Mobridge, SD.
Last year’s tournament boasted a record 222 teams making it the largest ice fishing tournament of it’s kind.
This year the Mobridge Chamber Tourism Committee is excited to announce they have increased the cash and prizes to over $50,000! This will include 16 Vexliar Fl-18s, 16 Strikemaster Lazer Mags, 2 Honda 4-Wheelers, and an Ultimate Zach Shack, plus much, much more!
Rules Meeting 8pm Friday, January 9th @ the Scherr-Howe Arena with Social from 6-8pm.
1. Eligibility: $80 per two-person team. Must have a valid SD fishing license and be 18 years of age unless accompanied by parent or guardian.
2. Fish Limits: State regulations for amount: Can weigh in 6 fish (2 fish 20 inches and over and 4 under)
3. Boundaries: North Point of Swan Creek, South Point of Moreau River to North Point of Galloway Bay and North Point of Mad Bear Creek, Spurline Bridge in the Grand River
4. Fishing Hours: 9am to 7pm. Pickup numbered tickets at the Coca Cola Bottling Company at 9am. Weigh-in at Larry Jensen Motors at 7pm.
5. If you are late, you are disqualified. Both contestants in each team MUST pickup their numbered stick at the Coca Cola Bottling Company together and MUST return their numbered stick to Larry Jensen Motors. (This rule is for your safety and to insure that we know all contestants have checked in).
6. Bad weather - if inclement weather, there will be no refunds on entry fees. Fishing tournament will be held on Sunday. There will be drawings to select prize winners.
7. Both team members must be present at rules meeting. Must be present to win prizes.
All Rules will be covered at the rules meeting Friday evening at the Scherr-Howe Arena.
