I am coming to Mobridge for my first Pheasant Hunt in SD for the year.  This is also my first hunt near Mobridge.  I am wondering if anyone has any ideas as to were the pheasants are hiding as of this week, cattails, grass, ditches, groves and near what type of crops are most found latley, beans, corn, grain fields?  I am also wondering if it is possible to find a few praire chickens in the area to hunt in the early morning before pheasant hunting opens.

thanks,

Rob

The Mobridge area is not as good as most people think.  You will need to stay west of the river as east river deer season starts on Saturday.  There will be tons of road hunters chasing deer with their pickups.  I would head towards teh south central part of the state.
