Re:No bass to be caught on the missouri in ND this time of year. smallmouths move up into the river from oahe when the water warms up and make it as far up as the tailrace on really hot years. If it's bass yer after, I'd just go to Nelson.

Re:Yeah the only thing you're going to catch or see people catching are walleyes and lots of them. Though I did catch a really nice smallie on the river last year while jigging for walleyes, but like multi said I would stick to nelson |
|
Re: Agree with the other 2 gents. I have caught a few smallys the end of April but it is probably 3 in the last 5 yrs. I would not pursue them. Grab your walleye stick.
IT IS BETTER TO ASK FOR FORGIVENESS THAN ASK FOR PERMISSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re:One option would be to chase Smallies on Lake Audubon. The ice will be going out right about then. |

Re:SRIPED BASS MAYBE BITTIN LIKE NUTS IF YOU CAN FIND THEM IN BACKWATERS ON RIVER BUT END OF APRIL MAY BE A TAD TO SOON FOR THEM.... |

Re:Would definately go to Nelson if its bass your after. I have however caught some nice largemouth in Marina and Southport. |

Re:I am doing the same thing you are buddy - cept be pitchen for eyeballs on the mo. I think the bass wont be feedin until may. See ya on nelson

Re:scratch that idea. I heard nelson is shot due to inflow of cold runoff and lots of debris.
