Put in at Keelboat Park ramp in Bismarck. Tried jigging the sandbar just north of the bridge, but the wind was coming right down the river and froze me out. I ducked back south of the bridge, out of the wind a little and pulled cranks in about 6-7ft. I picked up two healthy walleyes (19in & 20in), but it was pretty slow going.

went out to stanton on saturday, pitched on numerous flats and gravel bars, and never got a bite besides a 23inch carp

Put in at Fox Island this afternoon. Water looked like chocolate milk and I could see my jig down about 2 inches. Didn't fish very long or hard but I can't imagine much is going on now.

Buddy and i went down to tailrace.. kept 7 walleyes and 1 sauger.. for every eater you would catch 15 little ones.. seen some catfish caught as well..

Fished the Hescat on Saturday with no luck, i was using a floating jig then tried a floating minnow firetiger and had one good strike with it. Then on Sunday i fished Fox Island with no luck again i tried the same thing. Fox Island is really high at the moment so the walleyes should be closer to shore but, good luck out there.

And we're off. The bite started up pretty hot and heavy last week with boats limiting easily for the most part. Nice fish as well, many in the 20-23 inch range. However, there still remains a great deal of uncertainty as to what the water is going to do over the next week with run-off still on it's way. We'll have to wait and see. took a drive south today. Open water on the missouri south to as far as Huff and south into the barrells area as far as we could tell. Mostly frozen yet at Eckroth corner. Not sure on any of the ramps. |

Hit the river for first time this year. Went north of Bismarck and caught 3 walleyes and a northern. Water temp was 35 but fairly clear for this time of year. Caught fish in 7-10 FOW. Jigs. |

fishing at the tailrace isnt very good anymore slowed down alot. last times i went up havent caught much of anyhting not worth time or gas

Anyone been fishing at beaver bay lately? Heard a report that it's still been pretty slow out there. Not sure if that's true or not. Hoping to get down there within the next few days and try my luck.
