Missing Buck

I was fishing Brewer Lake on 8 Oct and came across a whitetail buck that appeared to have attempted to swim the lake after being hit by an arrow. PM me if you are the hunter in search of his hard to track kill.

P.S. The shot placement looked decent, that was one hardy deer!

WE can fix stupid.
The need to question it makes it an easy answer.
It makes sense if you dont think about it.

Called him as soon as I got his info, I'm sure that lead to the second sleepless night this buck gave him. He sent me a pic of the recovery this morning, glad I could help a fellow stick and stringer

This is excellent! Good work guys.

Don't practice until you get it right, practice until you can't get it wrong.

I can't believe finding this buck happened. Talk about going through your highs and lows and then ending on a high weeks later. Thank you so much Hardwtr. Now I'll have to put my rifle buck tag to good use for a cape and for my craving of venison. Sometimes stories are told. Sometimes we write those stories. I will tell this one for a while. That's for sure.

You are the man hardwater, most people wouldnt have bothered.. Coming from a guy in the same exact situation as Eric a few years back, I spent my whole Christmas vacation looking for a P&Y; only for a family relative to find him in the spring while shed Hunting.

Like any wounded animal; i dont give up and to all those put in this situation, always remember a wounded animal will always head to water or the thickest cover you could ever imagine..

Awesome of you to give up the location, it seems most people these days would have cut the antlers and kept them instead of posting here.

Looks like a nice buck, great story to go with it.
