Just curious if there are any meat lockers in Minot currently accepting large game for processing.

Thinking of a place that all a person has to do is drop off a large gutted cervid.

Anyone know who might be accepting deer or other large wild game right now?

Engebretson Meat Processing just outside of Mohall is pretty popular up here north of Minot for large animals, they do a lot of cattle, pig, buffalo and elk year around and deer seasonally. Know them pretty well, I can call in the morning to see if they are available and not all booked up.

no charlies, doesn't take anything in on the bone, you have to have it all cleaned up ready to make sausage,

Valley Custom Meats just received an E5 bull this afternoon.  Took it in on the half shell and they will skin and process it for my wife.

Beats the heck out of quartering it and shoving it into coolers in this 80 degree heat.

Thanks for all the replies!

FWIW, they said this was either the 6th or 7th elk they've received this year.

Gardner's Jack and Jill in Kenmare  guaranteed you will get back the amount and species you bring in.  Arlyn has been doing this for 30 plus yrs.  cheaper than anyone else in the area

Great news to hear about their service, done a lot of business with the old ownership for sausage seasonings. Nice to hear how the new ownership is stepping up a notch and being available on request for processing.

Yeah, valley store supply is still doing exactly the same thing they have been doing for 25+ years. Valley custom meats started last year right next door and guarantees YOUR deer, elk, moose, animal back. No batching no matter what time of season. Old owner and new owner are still working together.
