I didn't recognize hendrickson because he looks different now.  anyway, this really isn't a surprise they would vacation together they were business partners.  At least until Tex figured out what kind of a guy he was.  Then it was over.  And had Hendrickson not gotten arrested Tex would probably be dead.

there is a segment of tribal members that have always dislike Tex. And now that Tex has oil wells of his own it has caused even more hatred of the guy.  Honestly, this is normal tribal politics.  Not unlike the white man's politics.

You have to be kidding me.

He is absolutely corrupt and to a degree MHA has never seen before. He has other dealings with Henrikson to include Blackstone...a company Hall paid over 800,000.00 dollars to - signing the MHA checks himself...to his own partnership company.

Also, Hall signs all drilling permits and has ensured his company Mahetsu and its many companies he fronts-  are getting the work without it being bid to legitmate companies.

I find the Elders Council to be completely out of line in this matter, and they are the minority.

I also find it funny that Fred Fox is pointing fingers - he has a company with a lady named Laurie Bird - that is doing the same thing, millions of dollars in contracts being given to his partner - as he uses his power to ensure they are given to her.

The lot of them need to be investigated for extortion of contracts, misuse of power and more.

Your wrong again.

He continued dealing with him to the bitter end, only they got better at covering their tracks.

Only when one thief tried to rob the other....did they have a falling out.

thereinlies the problem.  all these companies have to have natives front for them.  it only breeds corruption just like so many things that happen on the reservation.  Infidel if what you say is true he will no doubt be arrested and found guilty.  If not then it's just another day of finger pointing on the reservation.  Was he ever found guilty of any crimes/theft the last time he was tribal chairman?  I don't recall that he ever was.  If he was he certainly wouldn't have been elected again.  Finger pointing like this has always gone on in the reservations.

And some of you will ask...how did this happen.

Well it happened when they saw the money coming in. They made a very cooperative TERO pass ordinances that allowed fronting of companies. Under the new rules you can no experience, no equipment and not be present at work - but still be able to front a fracing company, an entire construction company - under a phony lease agreement. It works so well that those running TERO have their own family members fronting companies and making money. Pretty hard for an oil company to tell the assistant directors family no.

It used to be you could not rely inordinately on a sub-contractor to do your work, and actually have technical experience in a field. That is no longer the case.

When called out over it, I recall Hall laughing at a tribal member who wanted him brought up before the ethics committee - right in an open meeting. Talk about hubris.

One cannot even go to TERO over it, they were to have all the Indian Preference companies reviewed - and refused to do so. Nothing to hide there eh?

As I said...the lot of them need to face a federal investigation and jail time.

The facts speak for themselves. His record of trips and monies paid to his own partnership are in plain view. Albeit I see the media wont mention Blackstone, or the fact the still missing man worked right there at Halls office in Mandaree.

All public knowledge, but nary a word of that in print.

And no he wasn't convicted of anything previous, but than again when he lost office all the computers from the front office vanished overnight.

As to now, it is hard for the rest to hold the man accountable, least they themselves have to answer for their own business dealings.

Course a couple want him held accountable, but this is truly a can of worms.

Nontheless it all needs to come out, if things are to change. I have seen corruption here, but never at this level.

Honestly I'm not even sure if the feds would consider these issues as reason for an investigation on their level.  Lots of votes on that res, and whomever the elders say vote for gets the votes both tribal and federal elections. Meanwhile all that is left is the crooks reporting to the public about their own activity.  There is a facebook account called "Three affiliated tribes percaps for all members on and off the res", yes that really is the name. That's a head shaking experience to read through that one.

Back before the oil boom I was a young fella short on grass (pasture) and put an ad in the paper.

Got a call from old Tex saying he had pasture on the res for rent.

But the kicker was his neighbors didn't like him renting it out to outsiders so to keep them from bothering my cattle he had a brand that we could put on them.

I often wonder if he got anyone to fall for that one.

all that has been spelled out in the Bismarck Tribune.  The BIA/FBI will be crawling up the tribes azz if this stuff is true.

I'm not defending Tex.  In fact I said this whole thing needs to be investigated by the Feds.  What I am saying is this is nothing new on the Res.  Tribal members have accused every single Tribal Chairman of thievery since the beginning.  Until someone gets convicted it's nothing more than gossip.  If what Infidel says is true it will be a slam dunk case for the feds.  And there isn't enough votes on the MHA reservation to cause any fear of that.  Natives no nothing different than to vote democrat anyway.  So it wouldn't matter.
