You mean up by Culbertson? My wifes family occupies that portion of the great state of Montana. Lots of truck traffic, all day all night.

If we're not supposed to eat animals, how come they're made out of meat?

Authorities are investigating the discovery of a male body along northeastern Montana's Hi-Line near the North Dakota border.

Roosevelt County Sheriff Freedom Crawford says the body was found Friday in a ditch along U.S. Highway 2 near the town of Bainville.

Crawford says deputies responded and are trying to determine the cause of death.

Crawford declined to say if foul play was suspected and would not immediately offer any more details including the age of the deceased male.

Montana Department of Justice spokeswoman Judy Beck says two agents from the Division of Criminal Investigation will assist in the probe at Crawford's request.

It's pretty bad when this is in the Billings  Gazette when Williston is just 25 miles from where body was found and not a whisper of it in the Williston Herald. The Herald is so selective about what they print and how "awesone" Williston looks to the public eye. There are so many bad things going on in Williston that the paper does'nt print because it might make us look bad. Pathetic!

BadlandsSniper.......exactly!
If they'd report some of the REAL news instead of all this sugar coated crap people would have a better idea what is really happening.
Not everything up here is candycanes and rainbows, I wish sometimes they'd print some stuff to get people talking and aware.

Same thing in Bismarck.   I have connections with local media and law enforcement.   Most people have no idea what REALLY goes on.   I agree the political forces in place want to portray the area in a positive manner.

I agree with you about the papers trying to make everything sound cheery and leaving a ton of things out, probably a lot of political nudges at work there. This particular case could have been a issue of "press time" the Williston herald is an afternoon delivery so "press time" can sometimes be almost a day behind the others mainly with their reporters just working different hours. I'm suprised it hasnt turned into a normal morning oaper now with all the "news" going on but I remember when it used to be just 4ish pages thick and that wasnt very long ago.
