Major thoroughfare, Highway 22, to reopen Wednesday

Highway 22 north of Killdeer will open Wednesday after being closed since May due to landslides.
The new road includes a paved surface and two-way traffic lanes, according to the North Dakota Department of Transportation.

If we're not supposed to eat animals, how come they're made out of meat?

Glad they really put the hammer down on that project.

I dont go around guessing cup sizes either I just know a nice rack when I see one.

All should note that it is a 12 percent grade and will be VERY dangerous this winter. Took out all the curves and a straight shot,

they had to move a million cubic yards of earth, so it wasn't a quick fix....

DOT will not allow anything over 8% on a major road. i believe your source may be incorrect.

Sounds like this is going to be the permanent route, but next year they will add more base and widen further as well as some extra lanes.

They say it took a little longer because initially they didn't think the weather would allow them to asphalt it this fall, but they were able to so they got it done and now have it opened up.

I'm curious to hear from anyone who travels on it today to report back to us...
