No, because with only 40MOA of internal adjustment you're going to be hard pressed to dial a turret to even a scant 600yds.

If you're even remotely considering that scope you better get a 20MOA sloped base at a minimum.  If you're thinking of perching it atop an AR-10, think again.

If you go to a 20-30MOA sloped base it might be OK.  As a comparison, a 4.5-14x40 Leupold with a 1" tube has 75MOA of internal travel.

I'd sure like to see the 20MOA mount and how it might mate up to a 1 piece base on a short action Rem. The base on a SA 700 is much shorter than the top of an AR.

Someone shot Yoda by accident using the force.  Now everything is strictly by the book.

ha ya horsager i was wondering the same because i would have to mount a "hunk" of picatinny on the top and then the 20 moa base on top of that thought it might get too high but im not sure

I believe the base is a one piece all milled base and rings together good quality been a while since I read about it it was not on my wish list so it didn't stay with me long

Yep, 0 drop in an AR stock means very high rings, or a riser, or one of the all-in-one riser/scope rings units, and, on an AR they work great.  On a 700 I'd think it more of a dog and pony show.  Actually, it'd be more of a goat fornication.  If I could curse on here, that'd be more impactful but you get it I'm sure.
