Last Minute Doe!
I have been out every morning this week and most evenings trying to fill my doe tag, took this one just before season closed at 30 yards, she ran about 100 yards back into a gully.

20 lb Buffalo
Nice day on the water, got 3 buffalo near 20 lbs. 12 total, smallest was 9 lbs. The fun ended when I lost my arrow in 9 feet of water :(

Most of the pike I have been catching have crappie in them, this one was no different. Surprised that she even wanted a smelt with a belly so full.

Made my own Ice fishing lures!
I have been using something similar for pike with good success but they are too small and the hooks break when you get into a big fish. I built these, hope to try them soon.

Didnt get any pike that were big enough to keep, but I did get cut off a few times, one felt pretty nice. Took a while to find the fish, ended up fishing 9-12fow with a red jig, no tail and a minner.

Boy was the river mobbed today. 3 went out in the boat, ended up keeping 12. Tossed some smaller ones and pike. Most of the fish came on cranks. got several pike under 3lbs also.

14lb pike caught on a 1/8 oz jig/minnow on 4lb microfuse. Put up a good fight, let her swim, got a bunch of eggs in the boat tho. Caught on the M near rifle range ramp south of Bis.
More fish for the freezer.
Limited yesterday but the fishing was a little tough with the wind, caught most on cranks but got a few nice ones on jigs also. Fish on cranks came in water from 5 to 8 feet primarily. All kept 20-22

First Paddlefish!
My season was over an hour after it started. Not sure what this one weighed because I cut it up before I got to a scale but Im guessing around 70lbs. There was one at the caviar place that went 90

Buddy beat me this year, 87lber. Caught using a 2oz weight and reeling steady instead of the jerk/reel technique.

Got this little guy on a small jig, which can be seen in the photo. Brought it in on 6lb line and a medium weight spinning rod. Put up a good fight! There are a TON of paddlefish in the spillway area
