looking for trapper in Linton, ND area...beaver removal is #1 priority

My family has land along Beaver Creek near Linton. We have an on-again/off-again beaver problem. Right now it is on-again. We have had trappers before who have taken up to 13 beavers a week when conditions were right. However, snow and ice conditions the past two years haven't been conducive to effective trapping. I would like to line up someone who is interested in looking for a stretch of creek bottom to trap beaver. Plenty of coyotes around to trap also.

I would prefer someone from that area who can do an effective job of cleaning out as many as possible rather than someone from a great distance away who only occasionally can check traps. The green light to start setting traps would be after January 8th.

Send me a PM if you are interested. I would arrange a time to meet with you and show you around the property, boundaries, etc.

I swear if I see one post that cracks a funny I will do as necessary.  I just don't want this thread turning into what others do.  That is, a bunch of school girls with a keyboard acting like it is the first time they have every seen the internet, a chat room or a talk forum.

And dirty, we have some traps at the farm.  Time for you to learn how...ha, I don't remember either.  Been a long time since dad did any trapping of any sort.  Just not worth the time and money anymore.  Of course, I have no idea what fur is at for critters other than coyotes.  But anyway, is it illegal to shoot them with a rifle?

I should control the population myself as one of my bow stands has become a lake.  But I just let them chew down trees and continue on their merry way.  Maybe it is time for ME to take down the old traps and get the old man to reteach me!

I would love to learn, but I don't have the time to effectively take care of the problem. Three years ago we had a guy come in and clean out quite a few, but last two years the ice wasn't good enough early and then way too much snow late for him to even get close to the creek. This year looks a little better for access.

I also have several relatives with adjacent stretches of creek bottom. Trapping is needed throughout, and I'm sure I can get access on their property for any trapper who is interested.

Dustin, that DOA animal control fellow lives in Hazelton.  He gave a talk on trapping at the G & F on Saturday with the fur taker people.  Really nice guy.   Don't recall his name, but someone here should know it.
If he can't do it, I'm sure he'd refer you to someone who could do it.

Traps was changed to tramps...

I don't think the emoticons are what I would be asking for clarification on.
