Looking for Specimens

I'm trying to acquire some popular fish specimens for skeletal articulations. I've done several over the years (www.helterskeletons.com), but would really like to get feedback from different regions. Basically I want to know what fish people get excited about going after and how I can get some.

Well the obvious demand in this area would be for Walleye, Pike, & Musky and of course the fact that the pike and musy look bad-ass as skeletal mounts.

Another very cool specimen that you might be interested in having is a paddlefish. I know the skulls make a very cool skeletal display but I dont know how much room you have because they can be a very large fish.

When I first clicked I thought "oh great someone else trying to sell crap on here." But now that I looked at you site those are really cool! Yep a pike would look awesome, and paddlefish as well. I wonder how a ling would turn out?

I dont go around guessing cup sizes either I just know a nice rack when I see one.

I must say your work is very cool. Now if you could do small mammals and birds that would be really interesting

Aren't paddlefish all cartilage?

Anyways, muskie, pike and walleye would all be very cool.

Come spring, I could probably send out a 20lb + pike if you are interested, get a few every year usually. They have some big teeth!

I guess the skull is bone, I came across this last year.  Euro mount of a paddlefish skull.  Very Cool!!

Without a doubt, coming out into nature is one of the neatest things there is to do, but you also have to be careful. That’s why I always try to pack the heat — try to pack a gun. Just a little bit — pack some heat. Now this isn’t too — this isn’t much of a big boy, I don’t want to kill the animal, but I do want to warn it, and say “hey, I think you’re pretty neat, but I respect your distance.” There’s bears out here, there’s mountain cougars, and biting goats.

Lwitt,

I wasn't trying to be an ass or know-it-all.  That skull is beautiful and an obvious suggestion.

The pricing is on their website, its by the inch and the price goes up in intervals by size.  The bigger the fish, the more it is per inch..
