I checked one out the other day.  Says made in Portugal.   I thought they were made in Austria?   When did they start making them in Portugal and have there been any quality issues recently.   I've handled one a few times and they seem pretty slick.

My Geovids were made in Portugal as well.  Sent them in @ the 4yr mark for "signal fade" as they wouldn't range beyond 300yds anymore.  About 5wks later they returned safe and sound and ranging to their 1300yd capacity and beyond when the light is right.

The fix was gratis as they were still under warrantee.  The turnaround timeframe was exactly what they quoted.

I've been interested in one as well. I was looking at the CRF1000 & CRF1600. I haven't been able to find out whether the 1000 has the inclinometer built into it. I'm pretty sure the 1600 has it. The Leica site states that the 1600 has ballistic curve charting capabilities but nothing about the 1000. Any help from the rangefinding "nerds" would be apreciated.
