I am willing to rent out my land for the 2012 waterfowl season.  Lots of water. Located in the Oakes area.  Will rent out to highest bidder.  Will accept bids until August 25th.   Email me if you have any questions

Oh Mylanta... please tell me that you are about 150 miles east of Oakes and not in my home state... but to each his own and good for you to own land. Plus as an added bonus, I heard duck and goose is delicious! tongue in cheek and just giving you a bad time on the entire post..

I'd rather shoot them off your neighbors field for a bag of walleye fillets a conversation and a few beers.

Dude, what don't you understand?  The guy is complete tool and you can't change that.  You think he give's a hoot about "friends" ?   He doesn't need friends. When you are in the position he is,  you are too good for friends.

hah the rental car part made me laugh... That is exactly the way some of the city slickers will treat his land.. just a piece of land and no problem if you trash it at the end.. just find a new piece next year... the $2000 that he gets to lease it out will be spent on advil for the headaches he will no doubt receive. Good luck to the OP, probably not quite what grandpa had in mind for his land...lol......

Hunting and hunters are the sole reason we maintain our right to bear arms. If people start charging/renting, many youth will not have the oppertunity to fall in love with firearms and hunting. I grew up near Oakes and access was great. Apparently things are changing and have changed for the worse.

Poooooooor decision. Enjoy the few hundred extra bones.

I am very jelous fyi, about everything.....ever.

Jesus guys. He's just a landowner trying to make some money off of his investment. What is so hard to understand about that? He has a right to make money just like the rest of us. And just because he does it, doesn't mean everyone else is going to fall in line. On top of that, you have no clue about the people he is going to rent to. You don't suppose that they might have a higher respect for the land because they are paying for it and would like to be invited back next year?

It just fascinates me that a city boy can stop and ask to hunt driving a $50000 vehicle with a atv in the back pulling a $5000 aluminum dog trailer with a $2000 boat on top filled with $1000-3000 worth of decoys and carrying a $1000 black eagle and then they expect to have the farmer or rancher give them a free pass. That money they spent for all that never help the farmer or rancher repair his machinery or fix his fences. And Iam not far from Oakes and you damn right things have changed thanks to out of state slob hunters the days of well in no him I can hunt his land even if its posted will get you a day in front of the judge and a fine that I think should be raised five folds to teach respect not slap wrist
