Lake Tschida (Heart Butte) - Monday, July 6, 2009

FRIDAY: got up at about 4 30 and was in the water at about 6. It was a windy/very brisk morning. We headed to a favorite spot by rattle snake island but the wind was just to much. Headed to the other side and first pass through dad caught a perch about as long as this wooooooooorrrrrrdddddddddddd. Next pass through i managed to catch a nice 18 inch walleye, then on the way back through there must had been a school of perch because it wasn't a hard bite but you could definately feel it. All i can say is "baiting stealing son of a guns!" Well I managed to catch another 17 inch walleye and we decided to call it a day since we had plans for the day.

Sunday: Headed back to the first spot we started and in the first half hour dad caught a nice 19 inch walleye on lindy and crawler. We saw the storm coming so we headed towards a little bay if it started to get nasty! AND DID WE FIND THE FISH! Took us about 3 hours to get the limit but had a great day. All in all we the fish were 14-20 inches. Walleye were the only thing we caught that day. Kinda of surprising that we didn't catch nothing else, like white bass! We had a great day and happy dad made the right decision to stay cuz the storm just missed us!
