Lake tschida has been good to me this fall. For fall bass fishing. The Smallies are on the feed. Anywhere from 12 - 20 inchers.

fishedjune 27 had no minnows so put on cranks caught 3 nice fish over 16in. went out over 4th of july fishing was slow due to large run-off water is stained it is starting to clear up a little tho

Headed out to Tschida tonight. Real nice out and had some fun with the small walleye. Most of the fishing I did was over by rattlesnake. Had about a dozen walleye, but none were over 14 inches. I saw some others trolling cranks and catching white bass left and right, but I kept fishing the bottom looking for the big eye. Anyways, hope others are doing well. If anyone has had a nice catch of decent sized eyes I would love to know about it. Good luck

fished from 8-11 pm saturday nite trolled east end of lake. lots of nice size white bass and the eyes were biting on everything! had some for supper tonite, cant beat fresh walleye! things slowed down on sunday fished off and on all day had to try different things to get a bite.lots and lots of small walleye ---- good luck fishing!

Fished Tshida this weekend. Caught many white bass and quite a few smaller walleyes with the occasional 2 to 3 pounds thrown in. Fished from the mouth to rattle snake. Certain times were definently better then others. Mud lines are great in a storm if you get off your a$$ soon enough to get there and then don't get a big one that breaks off due to too many white bass without redoing your line. Any ways a beautiful weekend for fishing there just wish the fish would have cooperated a little better.

fished for 6 hours on the 3rd of Jun. Ended up catching 7 total, all walleyes. talked to others and they didn't have as good of luck as me. Looked like the lake is still turning over as well. The lake level has come up since i was there last summer. Good luck fishing.

Fished Tschida on Saturday the 29th. Not much luck. Caught one 17 inch walleye and a white bass.Only fished for about 4 hours. I hope others had better luck!

we also ran down to tschida after work last nite might of seen you deuceman 03 i think that 5 pound walleye you pulled in was slowing you down anyways we tried something different they are not biting in the shallow so we trolled out in 50 ft.that is not a misprint 50 ft. the depth finder showed solid fish we pulled minnow tipped spinners behind bottom bouncers less than 1 mph fished from 6-9 pm east end of lake right off the face of the dam noticed 6 other boats in the area those jigging in the shallow water had no bites those in the channel were catching fish i believe the bite on tschida has been slow because the fish havent finished spawning when cleaning them last nite the males are still milking and the females full of eggs based on that and the fact that the water temp has risen 10 degrees in the past week (47-57) i think the bite should pick up very soon. the water is still very clear but noticed algae starting to float in. all in all it was a very beautiful nite on the water - best of luck fishing.

Ran out for about an hour and a half after work tonight. Fished my favorite spot with a jig and trolling so slow I thought I was going backwards. Landed a few nice walleyes and had a bunch more slow hits. Really felt good to see nice walleye out of Tschida. Keep fishing!

fished west end of lake all afternoon sunday had 4 lines in the water pulled crankbait and bottem bouncers tried different colors and depths from 4-10 ft. it was cold windy and raining at times never had a bite observed others in the area some were jigging some trolling talked with a few nobody had a bite but the company was good i hope somebody truely is having luck out there.

the lake is crystal clear now but the fishing is still slow with just 12 inch fish biting, or maybe my tape measure has an extra few inches added on.maybe after these fronts come thru the bite will be on. after all, the time to fish for eyes on tschida is when the lilacs bloom

Thanks guys for the info. I'll have to give it another try. I did work the 6 to 12 ft range last time I was down there with lindy's and jigs, but no takers. I guess that is why that call it fishing.

Early in the year the fish congregate in the back of Tshida to get warmer water. Its weird to me because the turbidity is way worse in the back but thats were the fish are is in the muddy shallows. I'd say between 5 and 12 feet. Give trolling the muddy flat below the cliffs two bays west of Kahlers. Just B4 you get into the submerged trees.

I was out there last week. They start biting in the same week every year it seems like. Can't say where we caught them or it will get fished out like usual. Find 6 to 10 ft. along rocky/gravel shorelines and use jigs and lindys. Work it slow. It was the ticket for us.
