Went out of crappie creek on the 26th. Definately needed the snowmobile that day. Ice was almost to thick for the auger without an extension. Fished below the trees by the farmers union camp. 10-30 feet. Caught two walleye in 30 feet. Slow day. Take the sled would be my advice.

Hey just wondering if anyone has been out to heart butte lately. Whats the report and also the access on crappie creek? Do you need a snowmobile or 4 wheeler? |

Set up darkhouse SE of north shore boat ramp. 20 FOW. Could see my chubby darter on the bottom. Set up a couple tipups and had 0 flags. Sat for about 3 hours and watched a 35-40" northern swim by and couldn't get my buddy ready to throw the spear fast enough. Have you heard don't text and drive? ....well in this case don't text and spear. If only I had my second spear along, that beast would have been nailed!

Drove over there yesterday, Sunday, and after the big blow we've had the last few days could not get down any road. Even the road down to the resort access was blown in at the top. Unless someone blows it out, snowmobile is the only way. There was one portable fish house just out from the resort and looked like it was vacant from the road. The roads had obviously been plowed in the past, so if the county does this I'm sure it will improve later.

How was it getting out on the lake this weekend. Can you still get out there in a 4wd truck around crappie creek? Thinking about going out tomorrow and trying to get into some eyes. Any info would be great thanks!

Whats for dinner is there alot of snow on the ice and does a guy need a forewheeler or snowmobile to get around? How thick is the ice?Crappie Creek can you get on the ice there with a pickup and are you to the SE around the corner by the bluffs? What depth are you in and any certain feed times that are best?Thanks and keep it up.Let me know.

we got 23 walleye 14 to 17 1 northern about 3lbs nd finest hot spot
