Lake Sakakawea - Saturday, August 29, 2009

Report Details
Took Pops and my youngest to the bay last night, still hoping the Sauger were cooperative.  Haven't been out in a couple of weeks.  Fished the back bay like we have all year and found fish every spot we hit.  Only a few boats but as usual they were pirates and we no more than picked up a fish and they run through our lines.  Didn't feel like sinking them over a sauger so we moved a hundred yds and continued on.  1/2 hr into the next spot and another boat does the same thing, so close I could touch his boat with my rod tip. My son says we should mount the fifty on the bow.  I guess there just isnt enough water in the Sak this year for them to find their own spot.  Could have dropped anywhere in 17 - 20' and pulled up fish,  we brought home a couple limits of nice fat 14" - 18" fish and should have had a great evening but thanks to the Pirates we just went home pissed.
