Well its getting that time of year for salmon. Has any one been catching or here of anyone catching any thing. We are making our annual 4 day trip for salmon in 3 weeks. Getting a little itchy for salmon fishing. Is the heavy discharge of water at the dam face going to cause any problems?

I might be heading up there this weekend to give it a try... If I make it I'll try to post a report... My old man was up their last weekend and gave it a run for about 5 or 6 hours on saturday, never had a bump and talked to about 5 or 6 others that never had a bump either, he said the water was incredibly dirty and thought that was probably the main cause for the lack of action, after that he got frustrated and went to chase walleyes,  hopefully this weekend will be more productive

We were out a couple of time a couple of weekends ago.  Didn't even see any baitfish on the graph.  It was like the Dead Sea.  Got a nice boat ride though.

Seems I always hit them too late in the year from shore.  Is mid-August too early?

My mark for the salmon season is always Labor day weekend.  it seems like I can't catch them from shore anywhere until that weekend.  Also seems to always be when the lake turns over which is what pushes the fish shallow.

Thanks for the info.  Also, you did well on the other thread.
