Lake Oahe (North Dakota) - Sunday, March 7, 2010

This is a report from the Pollock/state line area. technically SD,  but relevant to Cattail south.   Three of us fished the Pollock area Friday and Saturday.  Used an ATV to get around most areas but the snow is very rough, snowmobiles much better.   Pickups in the bays but no further because of hard packed snowbanks.     We had no luck even  fishing till dark both days.  Only a handful of cigars.   Heard of some fish caught nearer the state line, but couldn't get there with an ATV.  Fished through 30+ inches of ice from 16 through 40 feet along the channel. 
Had a great time - those folks that run the West Pollock Resort are really nice people - we are impressed every time we go there!
