i dont think the water is clear enough for spearing. its not to bad but what i am hearing the bigger fish are staying out a little deeper. I am heading out there tomorrow after some perch with my wife. If anyone wants the northerns we catch let us know. We will be happy to give them away. Will be driving a black honda pilot. if not, back in the hole they go.

Re:I cut a spear hole in about 6 feet of water, 4 under the ice. I was able to see to the bottom with little difficulty but you want to make sure there is enough snow cleared off the ice around the house to let light through. Not sure what it would have been like in 8-12 fow though. |
